Kisan Credit Card provides farmers with timely and adequate credit for agricultural needs including crop cultivation, post-harvest expenses, farm maintenance, and allied activities. It offers a revolving credit facility with interest subvention making the effective rate as low as 4% per annum. The scheme was extended to fishermen and animal husbandry farmers in 2020.

  All farmers — individual/joint borrowers who are owner cultivators

  Self Help Groups and Joint Liability Groups of farmers

  Fishermen with fishing licence (extended 2020)

  Animal husbandry and poultry farmers (extended 2020)
